The Passing on of Bro Cecil was a great loss for the Body of Christ physically.We could not control our natural feelings since we heard the news.Anyway it is the Plan of the Father to take him to the glorious home.We stand with you all in this time together in prayer.

I was recollecting the first time I met Bro Ces in chennai for a meeting in a church in 1992. I really feel proud of my acquaintance with him. It is a great privilege to be part of his ministry as an interpreter for him and experience the Apostolic anointing whenever translating for him.It is a great blessing.It was in 1992 I left the Church in which I was in fellowship with.I was waiting for the direction of the Lord at that time. When I met the Body of Christ in 1992 ,The Lord put me on the right path to be part of the Gospel of The Kingdom. I also remember The time I was ordained as an elder by Bro Ces and Bro Burt in 1993. Since then the Lord has been gracious to me to carry on His work by His strength.

May the Lord be gracious to us to carry on this work of the Gospel of the Kingdom in preparing His Body for His coming. I believe that this WORD has been committed to faithful people who will continue to take this WORD to the uttermost parts of the earth to prepare the Body till His Coming. We pray that the Lord will pour the spirit of obedience to the Body more and more so that People of God will walk in the same spirit in obeying the Elders whom that the Lord has appointed to lead his Body in this time.
May the lord keep His Body united at this time through his Spirit.

Brother Cecile duCille: An epitome of Humility in Christ and commitment to the Heavenly Calling.

To our beloved Family of the duCilles and the Sons of the Most High God scattered among the nations:

We shall not sorrow as men do. While we miss our dearly beloved Great grand pa, grand pa, pa and brother, we take solace in the gift of God for the Church universal through him. An epitome of Humility in Christ and commitment to the Heavenly Calling. In 1991, as a young Christian in Lagos Nigeria , I remember hearing him among several deep expositions of the word of God, say “follow Christ and follow no man, I hear God sent a man to you and he has finished his work but I have not finished my work and I am not leaving yet”. In December 2005 at the first all USA annual fellowship in Atlanta (The Land Christian Camp, Woodstock, GA), I remember hearing him give a humble testimony on the mystery of the body ministry and the need for submission and humility among brethren which led to the holding of the usual December annual fellowship in Atlanta instead of Florida as had been the practice. The ripples of that obedience and the gathering of the Saints in Atlanta spiraled to reconciliatory meetings and joint national fellowship meetings in Nigeria, Montego bay-Jamaica, Mahomet-Illinois, Atlanta, UK, and Atlanta during 2006 to SEPTEMBER 4-7 2009.

On September 4, 2009 the 1st day of the Holy Convocation in Atlanta, Bro Cec was ready to go to the meeting venue before others at the hotel. He arrived and as the spirit led, took the liberty to bring the word of the Lord on God’s Kind of Love as I call it. On the faithful day of the Holy Spirit orchestrated ‘gathering in the upper room’ as some have called it, while waiting for others to come in, bro Cec asked; “how is the ministry in Nigeria? Is there any apostolic ministry/ gift in the house? In humility he discussed the deepest thoughts of his heart with his brethren, prayed for us and submitted to prayers by us. Covenants were renewed in Christ, jokes were cracked such as ‘those standing on his right hand’ and strategic plans discussed for the “harvest of the king/ the end” – coordinated global evangelism for the Kingdom of God.
Bro Cec has fought the good fight of faith, he has kept the course, and has passed the baton to a corporate ministry (Apostolic and all the others). What a glorious translation into the great cloud of witnesses. The challenge is now ours to finish the race so that we and they can be made complete. He surely has his crown of life reserved for him.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the LOVE of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit abide with all of us now and evermore, AMEN!

What a blessing to have had Bro. duCille these past 30+ years. One such as Peter and Paul has walked amongst us. I have kept his every teaching - even just my handwritten notes of them. I will probably still be studying the 3 volumes of Revelation God gave him when we are with him again. He lived his life as an example of the Word he taught. I take joy in knowing his ministry is eternal. (Exo. 40:15; Nums. 25:13; Rev. 14:6; I Peter 1:23; I John 2:17; Heb. 7:22,24,28) He is no doubt ministering now to many of our loved ones who have gone before us. He and Mavis are enjoying their promotion. In the presence of God there is fulness of joy and pleasures forevermore. (Ps. 16:11) He has departed for a season but we will have him forever. (Philemon 15)

We received the news of our beloved Daddy's passing away with mixed feelings. Feelings of both sadness and joy. Sadness because we will definitely miss him and Joy because w know he's leaving this earth as an overcomer. A glorious exit indeed.

His life is a testimony of victorious christian living, for he came to this world, he saw and he conquered. He left as a conqueror.

The last time he visited Nigeria, his messages touched me as a person and i want to believe the same of the other youths.

We pray for the comforting presence of God to always be with the families he left and even the body of Christ as a whole.

We will not be deterred in our believe of immortality, for Christ conquered death. Immortality is therefore a reality.

I count it a great joy and opportunity to have met Bro. Ces and Sister Mavis. Through them, I have met all of you and I feel that we are a part of one another. Bro. Ces told the story of when the Lord asked him to go and preach the gospel. He told the Lord that he was not a preacher, rather he was an accountant. We have learned that you have no idea what you are, because your life is hid with Christ in God. The Lord knows what we are and what we will become.

Bro. Ces and Sister Mavis taught us the necessity of submitting to the will of God and serving God with our lives. They preached about God's plan to walk and talk and dwell in His people. We learned through their ministry that God's church is not divided, but it is one and that we will come into the unity of the faith.

They are doers of the word and not hearers only. They are real Christians and now they are living in the invisible realm of God where they are still able and willing to accomplish His will. God is not a God of the dead, but of the living and in the dispensation of the fulness of time, God will bring all things in Christ into one. Praise God for His goodness and mercy which endures forever.

Our Brother Cecil DuCille

We each have our own story to tell about Brother DuCille and how he has affected our lives but one thing is certain, God used him mightily to put us all on the path of Greater Truth in preparation for these very times we are living in. He continued faithfully through the years to bring us “bread fresh from the oven” as he would say. At the same time Mavis, his faithful companion and helper, sent the Message home with her uplifting Victory Songs and singing: “Oh brethren don’t you hear the trumpet sound, bringing liberty to every man that has been bound”, and “I’m singing Wonderful, Wonderful, every day in this way, Wonderful, Wonderful is He.”

Cecil and Mavis were very special to all of us, tireless and dedicated to their Calling. He was not perfect but he was humble and honest and God used his imperfections to keep him approachable to the rest of us so that we could talk so easily and comfortably with him as brother and not father. We will miss him greatly. He delivered God’s Word for us and it is time now to act upon it. We who remain must continue in prayer, stop obeying sin and stay in The Word putting on The Mind of Christ, and practice walking in The Spirit as we never have before. Can you hear Mavis singing: “Now is the time to take The Kingdom, rise up ye strong ‘tis Christ’s Command for every power and dominion is given now into your hands. Ye that have ears to hear the trumpet, ye that have hearts to understand, now is the time to take The Kingdom, rise up Ye Strong, possess the land. Rise up Ye Strong possess the land. Rise up Ye Sons possess the land!”? The whole creation is groaning and waiting for the manifestation of The Sons of God.

It was with a great surprise that I received the news of the passing into glory of our beloved brother Cecil. However as the scriptures say we should not exercise ourselves in great matters or in things too high for us, but we should rather give thanks to God and most especially for his life. His life was so completely sold out to the ministry like Paul said that nothing mattered but to finish the ministry he received of God. Our brother has finished his earthly ministry, he has fought a good fight. My prayer is that we all that partook of that ministry should persist in it taking heed to carry it on to the end and not shifting the landmark. it is well with the church of Jesus Christ. He will build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. Let us all be encouraged, let none loose faith for the LORD knoweth what He is doing and will surely complete it.

My name is Bola from England and we express our deepest feelings regarding the passage of our brother, friend and mentor for many years. I met bro Cec when I was a baby christian and the experience over the years has been of great encouragement, growth and faith. We are in a solemn mood here in Luton, England as Kayode and I only spoke to him the week before he passed on and he was sounding so full of life and was looking forward to coming over to England on the way back from Prague. We thank God for a life of sacrifice, strength, boldness and faith. The words that the Lord impressed on my heart when I heard of his passage can be found in Joshua 24: 14&15 "Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt and serve ye the LORD v15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Kayode was just saying to me on the Monday before Cec's passage that he felt the baton has been passed on to us, how true is this in view of the present situation. I want to say to all the brethren that we need to forge ahead with trust and reliance on the Holy Spirit. I was not able to give say anything public when Sis Mavis passed on because I was so shocked at it but I did see a vision of her after her passage. I saw the picture of dusk turning into dawn and the skies were so orange with the breaking of dawn and then I was Sis Mavis in full glow as bright as the sun coming forth before me. I am so glad that they are finally together never to be separated for ever.

First of all we want to express our deep sympathy and condolences for Bro. duCille’s family. When I checked my mail on Oct.20,2009 that Bro. duCille is with the Lord, my tears came suddenly to my eyes because he is really a man of God. Also my sister Marissa and the brethren in the Philippines are shocked because they are hoping that by next year Bro. duCille could come to Phils. but now he is gone so we are in great sadness for Bro. duCille’s death but rejoices in the Lord that he is now with our Lord Jesus Christ together with his wife sister Mavis. We thank God so much for the life of Bro. duCille and his long ministry and his labour of love. We thank God for his faithfulness in serving God and was a humble brother. We are so much thankful and blessed by him that we know the Kingdom message through his 3 volumes books of the Revelation. We are so blessed with these books. For me Bro. duCille is one of the 7 stars or messengers from God in Revelation 1:20. And also that bro. duCille was one of the best teacher and anointed from God because honestly we can easily understand as he preached and listen the Word of God although there are many brethren are also anointing from the Lord. Glory to God and HE is Worthy to be Praised.

It was a memorable for me and stays forever when Bro. duCille with the brethren came to my home last June 2009 in Switzerland. I and Marissa and some of our family and also our friends are so blessed as bro. duCille and bro. Burt preached a very good and prophetic Word given last June 6 and 7, 2009 for all of us.
We will be missing him and his preaching and his love. We learned so much from his preaching and became closer to God through his example.

We love you so much Bro.duCille. And you will be always in our heart and in our remembrance!!!

Dearly Beloved Brethren

WOW! Words fail me as I sit down to describe how I feel about this big vacuum created by Pa DuCille's exit from here and the triumphal entry into glory this past Monday morning. 'Pa DuCille' I say for he was just more than a Brother and for some of us, our background will not allow us to call such an elderly man - both by spiritual and physical age or walk with God - just 'Bro Cec' - He was really a 'Pa' - Our Father in the Lord.

Like I told Bro. Gary, I'm especially grateful to God for His allowing the last Holy Convocation - North America (Atlanta 2009) to hold despite all the opposition(s) at the beginning of preparation - It is quite obvious now why the enemy tried to fight and block it.

THAT GATHERING WAS VERY SIGNIFICANT AND VERY VERY PROPHETIC! I AM VERY HUMBLE TO BE A PART OF IT - What we were not allowed to know - perhaps not sensitive enough to pick was that it was a parting meeting on this side, but it was a good and very memorable one indeed! That simple but deeply spiritual moment(s) shall linger for good in our memories.

I can see now why the Lord allowed all that took place on the day before the last day of that glorious Convocation of the Lord's people - the special hugs and handshakes from him to certain and specific individuals (Some pictures testify on www.kingdomword.net ), gifts sharing (He gave me a very beautiful golden red pen and I intend keeping it as a memorable souvenir) and most importantly the times of praying together especially when all in leadership knelt down in the Upper Room and he roared upon us the Lord's blessings from his heart - These are spiritual moments that will always be cherished.

I rejoice in that he fought a good fight, finished his race & kept the faith. I believe that after all that was accomplished both spiritually and physically at the Atlanta 2009, the Word of God finds fulfilment: "...Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:..." Luke 2:28-30 (in Context) Luke 2 (Whole Chapter)

We will definitely miss him - He was such a blessing and a treasure to the Body of Christ all accross the globe. Our prayer is that the Lord will comfort each and every one of us, giving us the grace to run this race that is set before us with our focus upon Him who alone is the Christ of our God.

I have devoted a substantial part of my time trying to find the appropriate opening paragraph for our dearly beloved brother Cecil Ducille who has gone to be with the Lord but comfort came with the word of the Lord that says : To everything, there is a season and a time.
There's a time to be born and a time to die.
A time to labour and a time to rest.

Brother Cecil Ducille was a good soldier of the Lord. He was loving, caring, tested and proven brother. He obtained a good report through faith. He fought a good fight, he finished the course, he kept the faith and he has received a crown of righteousness.

To say that we will miss him very dearly is an understatement but we must bow to the will of God who called him to rest in his bossom.

Beloved,
We are deeply imparted by the news of his home going though we take consolation in the fact that he is with the Lord. This makes me/us now treasure even more the last conference where we saw him preach-The Atlanta (September 2009) conference and it’s attending blessings to many. I especially cherish his personal words to me in the lunchroom during this period. Those words have never left me ever since. We thank God for the times he came to Atlanta to share fellowship with us. Our children remember and miss the wonderful testimonies given by him from time to time as he preached. He always gave his all to the service of God and God’s people traveling around some dark corners of the world with the gospel of the kingdom with tremendous zeal. His voice radiated an electrifying passion for the things of God. We had told him in the past how his life imparted some of the persons in Nigeria he never even met.

He and his wife Sis Mavis endured hardness as good soldiers of Christ in the work of the ministry even in their old age. May we be challenged to emulate his passion for God’s glory as we do our part in the new phase of the work in God’s kingdom.

Pa ducille, as my wife usually called him, meant so much to us as a family, my wife Ada and I and our children too that it is very difficult to adequately comment on his person.
In ministry life he taught us how to pursue with passion what he believed was of God. How to give ALL without reservation to God and His body for the work of ministry. Bro. Cec would make time for everybody and he listened to whatever one had to say. His humility in the midst of great and deep revelation of God and His plans touched us. He was always eager to receive ministry from a child once he discerns the Spirit in it. I remember speaking to him at the beginning of 2009 over the '2008 atomic war prophecy' and what I felt the Lord was saying, and he said,"Thank you brother, I have been greatly encouraged by this" He had such a childlike heart that always believed the best of everyone. He was always very eager to help in whichever way he could, financially and otherwise, that those who did not know much about him would think he had millions of dollars tucked away somewhere to back up every expression to help.
On family life, he and sister Mavis showed us a practical pattern of Godly marital relationship in which divine order reigned. There was such evident love and bonding that is beyond human outworking. We still remember some of the times they were here on a visit and he would after the stressful day's ministry, ask sister Mavis to just relax and rest while he gently and affectionately massaged her feet.

Bro. Cec left an indelible mark in our lives and we will ever miss him. We wished and hoped to have a great time of fellowship with him by next month's proposed visit. But God is sovereign and knows the best, so we submit to Him.
His home call is an opportunity for us who heard band studied him to now follow in his examples and run with the kingdom message. His departure has brought the church to a new phase of the work. The Lord help us.

I never knew that was a parting meeting on this side, but it was a good & very memorable parting! That simple but deeply spiritual moment shall linger for good in our memories.
I rejoice in that he fought a good fight, finished his race & kept the faith.

Cecil DuCille who passed away sometime Monday night/Tuesday morning amazingly it appears while on his knees praying before the Lord. Can’t think of a better way to go and in a twinkling of an eye be absent from the body and present with the Lord. I met Cecil a couple times but did not know him real well, but knew of his mighty walk with the Lord and powerful testimony. He was a man that the Lord gifted with prophetic words and teachings, and had just lost his wife of many years within the last 6 months I believe. It’s amazing that one day he knew in part and the next he knows fully like Paul’s words illustrate above. It can happen just like that, but what’s waiting on the other side of that last breath is determined by what choices you make here in this life. You don’t get a do over, so choose Jesus now. Brother DuCille loved and cherished his Savior Jesus Christ in this life and now is with Him face to face and back with his wife again also. Halellujah!

The news of Bro Cec's passing came to us with an initial deep sense of sadness but we remain thankful to God for his life and ministry.
Recently, Bro Ducille had talked to us many times of his desire to visit and spend sometime with us in Gabon this November. He had asked us to pray the Lord to allow him come. We have been earnestly looking forward to his visit and waiting to receive some documents which he had mailed earlier on to us but was strangely returned to him.
On Tuesday morning ( 0700hrs Central African time ) 20th October, Obi saw on the computer that Bro Cec appeared to have come online suddenly on Skype . He wanted to call him immediately to find out how things were with him but an inner voice immediately stopped asked him not to disturb bro Ducille but let him rest. He checked the time and saw it must be wee hours of the morning in America and Bro Cec must be asleep. It was later that we received the news that Bro Ducille slept in the Lord that same morning.
We remember him today and always. The example of Bro Ducille's desire to live and walk in the spirit as the scriptures demands at all times is something Obi and I discuss ever so often and strive to emulate. Our lives and that of many others have been greatly impacted and blessed by his ministry and work and we remain thankful to God for giving Bro Ducille. We will amongst many things also remember his last years for his earnest desire and prayer that the Church of God walk in the unity of the Spirit of God in Christ Jesus.
We ascribe praise and greatness to the Lord our God whose work is perfect and all His ways are just and true.

Thanks for this news and we bless God for His great faithfulness. I have been meditating since yesterday after reading your mail and tried to get you on Skype.

It came as a shock, even though not as a total surprise. it was obvious to some of us that our beloved wonderful brother may not stay too long without Mavis. At least this much my wife Ada kept saying. But on a more serious note, after the Atlanta meeting, as brethren reported to me the way the meeting went and the comments brother Cec made, especially his plan to visit Nigeria to go round all the fellowship groups as he did in his early years in Nigeria, I immediately got a ministration that he was coming on a farewell visit. I believe it was the Lord who whispered to me that "If he makes it, that will be his last because he is coming home." My strong expectation was that he would come and give us great parting words. I never knew God has a different plan. I believe at the end of Atlanta meeting bro. Cec must have said, "Now letest Thou Thy servant depart in peace...."

I have this very strong impression in my spirit that God has placed a great responsibility upon some of us, especially the elders, at this time. It's time to really run with the work for there is time no more. Some very specific work of consolidation in oneness must be done swiftly in the body to prepare for the soon to come outpouring of the Spirit for the final harvest. There is great urgency in my spirit and I have been praying that the body will rise up to the task. We must move as one indivisible bread at this time. I pray that the Lord enlightens all to the task ahead. We need to pray more than ever before for the leadership of the body. His grace is sufficient. We shall not fail in Yeshua's Name. Amen!

Brother Cecil’s departure has created a very big vacuum that will be difficult to fill. His person, life, and ministry touched our lives in ways that words cannot express. His life and ministry radiated depth, courage, sacrifice, and commitment. He showed us what true spiritual leadership is all about. He spoke the truth in love. He was passionate and never afraid to declare what ever word the Lord gave to him.

He worked tirelessly for the unity of the brethren in Nigeria. He encouraged the brethren to reconcile by personally showing the way. He listened to every one, he loved everyone, and he prayed for everyone, he sacrificed for everyone.

Brother Cecil’s life is a lesson in faith, sacrifice, courage, tenacity, simplicity and love. His contact with us in Nigeria over the years has impacted our lives in ways that words cannot now begin to express.

This Great Apostle to the Nations is a lesson in triumph. His work here on earth is completed. The challenge is for us to pick up from where he stopped. May the Almighty God help us all – Amen.

It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved Brother Cecil duCille went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ this morning, October 20th, 2009. Just three weeks after his 87 birthday, and eleven months since the passing of his beloved Mavis. Although a shock to most of us, we rejoice in the sovereign will of Almighty God, knowing that precious in His sight is the death of his saints. We are so thankful for the many years of faithful ministry to the Lord. He and Mavis dedicated their lives to the Body of Christ, and we have all been eternally blessed by their sacrifice. He most certainly fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. There is therefore laid up for him a crown of righteousness. He is again with Mavis, and has now joined the ranks of the great cloud of witnesses. May the fruit of their labor continue to flourish in the earth until His glorious appearing.

Mavis knitted for all of us - The Martindales

When my only child was born, Mavis presented us with a beautiful knitted baby blanket- a Joseph coat of many colors. It is beautiful and my words cannot describe it. You will have to close your eyes and ask the Lord to let you see this garment that was used to shelter and glorify our baby. It took much time to make a blanket of this size. I can see her knitting and speaking to the Lord. The Lord would say to her "Put this color there. It means this." As we are special blankets knitted by the Lord, each stitch was made with godly thought and with our baby in her heart. As as people were healed by the hem of Jesus garment, Mavis blanket did the same. Such patience does the Lord have when he knits our lives and why- so as Mavis did for us-knit a life into a beautiful blanket. Brethren, Mavis knitted for all of us. She gave us all-a very precious knitted nugget.She will always be sonshine on a bright or cloudy day.

Quite suddenly I am now faced with the reality that such an extraordinary woman of courage, zest, compassion and rare sense of virtue will no longer be in the flesh with us at a time like this. However, knowing full well that she has departed to a better estate, I take this with a fresh sense of hope in view of the fact that she fought the fight of faith to the last point. During the week after Sister Mavis passed, I kept hearing the verse, "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." (Galations 6:2). I asked God what He was letting me know with it, but had no answer. Then when I heard the testimonies at the memorial service in Mahomet of all that our sister did for our brethren through the years, the verse came to me again, and I knew it was describing perfectly what she did with the life here on earth she was given by God. We praise God for the blessing she has been to us all in her service and diligence to fulfilling the law of Christ.

Although my brothers and I grew up with wonderful grandparents, it is you, Brother and Sister duCille, who have been our spiritual granddad and grandma. Whether we were small children growing up on the farm, teenagers going through all the challenges that that time of life presents, or young adults striving to move in the direction of God’s plan and purpose for our lives, throughout the years you have always been there for us.

There are so many fond memories that I have of both of you…
I remember when I was a young girl and you and Sister duCille would come to visit us and minister to the Dubuque fellowship. I can remember how you would go to sleep with a cap on because it was so cold. I recall a time years later when you once again braved the winter’s cold to perform Barak’s and my wedding ceremony. Bless you, Brother duCille, for not letting anything deter you from ministering to the people of God - not even a Midwest blizzard!

Another time I remember is going to the grocery store with Sister duCille and getting the ingredients to make a Jamaican meal. She showed me how to open a coconut and together we made Toto, a Jamaican cake. Those were the days when I knew Sister duCille as a wonderful grandma; as I have grown up, married, and become a mother, I have come to know Sister duCille as the absolutely remarkable woman that she is.

When I think of Sister duCille, I think of Proverbs 31 and the description we are given of a virtuous woman. Some have asked if the Proverbs 31 woman is truly attainable or just a poetic figure; Sister duCille’s life answers that question of attainability with a resounding “Yes!” The entirety of Proverbs 31 is like reading the story of her life and she has inspired me and countless other women in pursuing being a virtuous woman, just like she has always been.

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to you both, Brother and Sister duCille, for being spiritual grandparents to my husband and me, my brothers, and all those in the Body of Christ who are part of our generation. You have demonstrated godliness of character to us and inspired us in our marriages. You have been our biggest cheerleaders and have always been so encouraging in our walk with the Lord. We thank God upon every remembrance of you and love you both so very much!

I can think of no one who has served her generation by the will of God more than our sister, and we are better for it. The ministry that you and Mavis brought to our lives and the church as a whole is immeasurable. Your love boundless. Your impact indelible. I remember vividly the day the two of you sat down with the young single men in the Janesville/Beloit Fellowship and talked about marriage and the importance of being equally yoked. This prophetic message was fulfilled 6 months later. Your marriage has been an inspiration to us from day one. We aspire to lay down our lives for one another and to see a union form, of which, you two have been the model. We are honored to have known Mavis and will always cherish her as a friend and a mother of the church. Our prayers are with you in this time of temporal sorrow but eternal joy.

We herein pour out our heart to you as we offer our tribute to Sis. Mavis.

We loved Si,s. Mavis, but God loves her more that is why he has taken His beloved home to rest. We, the Ojodes, thank God for giving Mavis a full physical life of over four decades and a full spiritual life of basking daily in His presence. Our interaction with Sister Mavis, both here in the USA and in the mission field, Kenya, was always a transforming experience. The aroma of being a wonderful mother, grandmother, teacher, adviser; but above all her unconditional love, patience, understanding, dedication to God and the body of Christ, never left us the same. Most of the Ministers of the gospel in Kenya who interacted with Sis. Mavis sensed an unusual presence of the Holy Spirit. We can confidently conclude that Mavis went home full of the Holy Spirit and has been granted an abundance entrance into God's presence.

BYE MAVIS, BYE GRANDMA!

Father, heal Br. Cecil's heart of any grief caused by the passing on of his beloved wife, Sis. Mavis: a partner of over six decades, an unwavering supporter in ministry, and a true intercessor. Enable Br. Cecil's soul to march on in strength (judges 15:21). Bestow on Br. Cecil a crown of beauty instead of ashes and anoint him with the oil of gladness instead of mourning. Clothe Br. Cecil with a garment of praise. May Cecil continue, as he has always done, to be a pillar of righteousness, a planting of the Lord to display the splendor of the Messiah (Eph. 4:32; Is. 61:3).

I want to share one thing with you. I didn't know Sister Mavis much. However, when she was at our conference in the Czech Republic 3 years ago, she suffered much. I knew in the Spirit that she suffered because of the body of Christ. This is the reason why I wanted then that all the brethren would pray for her in unity. When she was in the hospital this year, I felt in the Spirit that she suffered again because of the body of Christ. So when she was healed I was very happy, because I knew that the body on all the earth was united in prayer for her. And suddenly I was disappointed. God took her! "Oh God, what does it mean?"was my question. I didn't understand it. But God is God; He can do what He wants.However, it didn't stop me from thinking about it. I wanted to get an answer. And several days later it came to me:

"Gen 35:16-20 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. I believe that Sister Mavis got an answer from God by healing, that the son was born and her hard labour was not in vain. She didn't have to fear. The beloved one was in God's plan to unite body of Christ in prayer and fasting and the son was born in the way to Bethlehem. In the Bible that was the moment that united other ten brothers to be ready to bow down before Josef. I believe that this thing is happening now. There is just a little way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem, where our Lord was born.

May the joy from the son give you strength in these hard days.

It has been so difficult to find the words. There is so very much to say... Well I will begin here and do my best to capture the words. Oh Lord, my heart is full. I have such an empty feeling inside knowing that I cannot simply pick up the phone and hear my Grandma's sweet consoling voice. That has always been all I needed as a reminder that all will be well. To hear gentle words from the wise woman and strong man I have known from birth as God's angels on earth. My sweat Grandma, she made us do book reports and math problems in the midst of the summer vacation :o). My Grandma who cooked rice and peas with every evening meal. The smell of poridge or homney most mornings and to-go-bags before every road trip. She blessed us all with the warmth of her love...God's love so incomparable to any her. There can only be one Grandma and Grandad. No feeling can ever compare to that which is felt from a hug or a hand held by either of them and of that I'm sure all agree. The unconditional love that could only be found in Grandma's arms, in her voice, in the little notes she often dropped in the mail just to say hello and God Bless You. My Grandma who never ended a conversation without reminding me that I must always be ready for the Lord. If anyone could get through to any of us that God is near, it has always been Grandma and Grandad. I'll miss the dress fittings, pins and all :0). I'll miss her clapping and waiving from the garage door to stop me from driving off, after we'd aready said our goodbyes, because she'd forgotten to tell me something or put something in my roadtrip bag. I'll miss waking up to the sound of dishes in the kitchen and watching news in the evenings. I'll miss that heart warming smile so pure, so loving, so nurturing. I'll miss you Grandma. God did so very well when He created you. And added unto it when he put you in the arms of my dear Grandfather. You are my superheros. If only we can be so blessed as to have what you and Grandad have had. Grandma and Grandad... you've done well. I Love You and you always have a special place in my heart. You will always be, constantly be... my gift from God. It has taken me quite a while to come out of the shock of the passing on of your dear wife, our sister, my model of how a believer in this age should comport himself.

You know how far our relationship has come and I need not remind you of the intimate moments we have shared .... and Sister Mavis had, albeit in her simple and unimposing standpoints, featured effectively.

I remember her for her down-to-earth counsel and manner in which she made her points without laboring herself to leave any impression. Once she opened her mouth to speak, in whatever circumstance, my ears were always attentive to pick up the 'nugget'. Her observations, no matter how unappealing at the time, were always striking and I learned never to miss the opportunity of catching her words whenever I was around where she spoke. Her conversation showed her to be a believer in charity, in faith and in purity.

Above all I remember Sister Mavis for the perfect ways in which she complimented you. Even when you picked off excitedly in a matter, it was ever so comforting to witness how she would get you to come back to the main focus in the matter. I cannot count the number of times when I admiringly wished I would have a wife like her. Truly, I could see the strength and support you drew from her for ministry and for your life. She was a great encouragement to the Body.

We can only try to encourage you, with what we have. It is only the Father that can provide you with the kind of comfort you so need right now. There will be times you will want to reach to her for that support you have come to be accustomed to over the years of your sweet fellowship with her; our hearts prayer is that God will be there for you.

As we pray for Him to take charge of the situation and help you, we also pray for the days to come. We pray for Him to remember His promises to you, and to uphold you. He has said He will neither leave you nor forsake you; may He bring you to truly appreciate that promise now. In this time of seeming famine, may He so prosper you, Oh, may He so prosper you.

We love you, Brother duCille and we are praying for you. In fact Nene and I have not been able to stop talking about you ever since. The Lord that seeth the end from the beginning, He will provide you with the answers.

Dream - Sunday morning, Nov. 30,

Just before waking up, I had a dream. We were in the song service in a meeting at Mahomet, when a group of 10 or 15 from the heavenly choir appeared. Joining in the singing, they began to move quickly along the rows, going from the back to the front of the congregation. As they moved along, one particular female member of the choir would touch every child, woman and man as they passed by.. When they stopped in front of the musicians, I recognized the one that had been touching every person along the way was Mavis. She smiled at all of the musicians, and then the choir left just as quickly as they had appeared.

We were shocked and saddened to hear about sister Mavis. Having joined with others praying and believing a miracle had occurred it seemed impossible that God had taken her. She was a wonderful sister and friend to us and we will miss her alot. You once said that heaven is a school and that is such a comforting thought.

One of the first memories that came to my mind was a day I took you both to the airport in Omaha. We had to rush to board you on time. Suddenly sister Mavis began running. She was wearing high heels but she outran all of us and got to the gate first and just in time. It's a good spiritual picture, isn't it?

It is almost resurrection day so we will see her again soon.
I can hear her say "God is faithful to the end."

We will miss this great warrior for Christ who stood as the Armour Bearer for her husband in what you might call a long, lonely and difficult ministry but effective ministry.

Our heavy heart reaches out to Pa duCille at this time in great groaning and prayers that the Lord will grant him the fortitude to bear this departure of a faithful Armour Bearer. We also reach out to all the brothers and sisters in Florida who are nearest to Bro Cess at this time. Where do I even begin? You and Grandma have been involved in EVERY memory I have growing up....I was just talking about my first Thanksgiving as a married woman and brand new mom...Both of you flew out to Texas and absolutely bailed me out of that one! Grandma cooked my turkey (thank God! b/c only He knows how it would have turned out if I did it). I am so grateful and blessed to have the two most special people in my life for so long. It saddens me that my kids will not experience the WONDERFUL lessons, the FUN times in that house, the constant hugs and pats on the back from Grandma for as long as I did. I am thankful you got to spend the time you did with them though. Amaiya saw a picture of you and said right away "that's Gang-Gang, Mommy lets go to her house and play the piano." It made me smile inside because that is one of my memories in that house also. Grandma has been a constant in my life, my whole life. I knew no matter what was going on in my life, I could either pick up the phone and hear you tell me with that strength in your voice that "You will overcome." I knew no matter what I could drive up in that driveway, ring that door-bell and you were always there with a hug and a kiss....I'm going to miss that.....
I remember growing up, especially in school, wishing I could change my name. Looking back now, I'm very embarrassed to say that. Since getting older though, I can HONESTLY say I feel privileged to carry on your name Grandma. It's funny, Dustin and my In-Laws refuse to call me anything else but Mavis, while at the same time everyone else calls me Leasie.

When the phone call came announcing Sister Mavis entering into glory, we were stunned. We had not expected this response, but were also submitted to Father's will. The memories of her many times of overcoming what seemed to be insurmountable "mountains" in her health, and the many trials you, Bro Ces and dear Sister Mavis not only endured but conquered came flooding into my mind. Then the Lord brought the songs to me, "In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." and also "Not my will but thine be done".... How often we sing that.... our will was for Mavis to be healed and continue as our example of a Godly mother and wife. She has done all that and so much more. We shall miss her greatly, but we are very comforted in knowing that she is in that great cloud of witnesses encouraging us to continue to press on that we may fulfill the purposes of God and be all that He wants us to be. May you, dear Bro Ces, feel the loving arms of our Saviour comforting you today and in the days to come. May He continue to give you the strength needed during this personally difficult time, and also in the coming days of your ministry. God bless you.

This occasion of the transition and passing on of our dearly beloved mother Mavis is a time of grief for us but is overshadowed by the joy and hope that we indeed ‘…believe that Jesus died and rose again, and even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him…I Thess. 4:14. And so, we give thanks and glory to the Lord God for the gift of a measure of His life through the offering of your wife to the CHURCH…for, as has been testified to by many, she poured out of the goodness of the Lord in her spirit, soul and body to the benefit of the family of God. The oft-repeated words that those who depart this terra firma continue to live in the hearts of loved ones take on a very real significance in this instance, albeit, to the glory of God. In a very real sense, the ‘corn of wheat’ that was sister Mavis did not abide alone but has brought forth much fruit to the glory of Jehovah by reason of subjugating her life to the Lord’s will. Her sojourn and testimony upon this side of eternity will continue to be an encouragement to us all, even as we strive daily for the mark of that high calling that is in Christ Jesus.
We pray that the God of Comfort will strengthen you, Bro Ces and your immediate family during this time and may He continue to work in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight to the glory of His Name through Jesus Christ and grant you peace, amen.

We received news of sister Mavis passing with very mixed feelings. Shock at the suddeness, Sadness at her having to leave us and happiness knowing she's with the cloud of witnesses. We draw so much consolation knowing whe she is resting right now right in the arms of the Lord she loved and served with all her heart.
We recall with very much fondness each of your visits to Nigeria and the role she played in the church and to us individually. It was always such a joy and much encouragement to us all. We will miss her dearly and look forward to seeing her again when we met at the masters feet.
It is well with you Bro. Cecil for in all this the Lord Jesus is your strength and your peace.

Dear Bro Cec,

It is with much surprise that we received the news of the passing on to glory of our beloved mother and great woman of faith-Sister Marvis Ducille.

No doubt, this great daughter of Zion has fought a good fight, finished her course and kept the faith.

Sister Marvis has been a good example to the women folk, as to the extent a godly woman should stand by her husband in the fulfilment of divine mandate. She has been an encouragement also to us the menfolk and also to the great generation of God's Sons emerging at this hour.

She will be greatly missed.

I recall the last time i saw her at the last 2007/2008 Jamaican conference, her brief but powerful words of prophetic exhortation during the meeting and also the brief time of prayer we had in the Ducille's bedroom on the eve of our departure to Nigeria. It did not register that it was the last time to be with her physically and on this side of eternity. We remember her with mixed feelings-of sadness because she has departed from us in the flesh; but of great joy that she finished her course with joy and is passed on to the presence of her dear Saviour she loved & served!

Our condolences & prayers go for our dear father, Pa Ducille, who is obviously going to miss a great companion & fellow sufferer in the way of the cross, having borne & rejoiced together through thick & thin.

IT IS WELL!!!

Bro Ces, we all in Nigeria are with you at this crucial moment & our prayers are with you, for strength, grace & all that you require.

There are so many great memories I have of Grandad and Grandma I don't know where to begin. Well it all started in 1971... just kidding. I remember dad and mom going out and leaving me with grandma and granddad for the first time that I was conscious of it anyway. I remember crying as loud and as long as I could. I was around two maybe three years old at the time so that was o.k. then. I think they got a little tired of it around my 19th birthday though. :)... I thought about that a couple of months ago and remembered the look on grandmas face, the concern for me. The pain she felt for me even though I was just being a spoiled brat at the time. Even then she was teaching me how to love without saying one word to me. As I grow up I never heard grandma and granddad say anything unkind to one another. They never rose their voices at each other. Even when we the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren probably very well deserved to be yelled at, never once did they do so. The love and respect I have for them made me try to be the best I can for them. Never mind what they taught me verbally, just watching them brought me closer to the Lord. Grandad, you and Grandma did good. I would change nothing of the time we have had together. Please forgive me of not spending more with you both. I can begin to imagine what you are dealing with. I do know this, the two of you have done the Lord's work as he led you to. So few know the sacrifices you both had to make. The Lord gave you comfort in each other for so many years. I know he will comfort you now, we love you so much Grandad. Lord bless you and keep you.

After i heard that Aunty Mavis passed away on sunday, an idea popped into my head on monday evening. The idea is that I want to invite u to come stay in our house in PortHarcourt for a while. We live in Port Harcourt& we fellowship in Pótter's place with Bro Eze, Bro Chima etc.
After Aunty Ozi shared the phone call she had with you today in fellowship & expressed how you were(are) feeling, I decided to send u this mail. So I'm formalling inviting you to our house. Not necessarily for meetings but for u to come away alittle & let the people who have covered in the past, cover you.

We remember you at this difficult moment and ask God to comfort you. I last saw sister Mavis when you were all in Port Harcourt and she declared our hospital’s permanent site “open” two years ago. We were always glad that she did the “opening” as we have done well since. The news of her death came as a shock. We hope that in some way we will be able to give back a little of what you both sowed into our lives.

Thank you for the times you spent with her – especially at those difficult moments when she took ill. You were always adjusting your schedules whenever you were away and she took ill. I remember you caring for her when she took ill with cerebral malaria in London (on your way from Nigeria) some 15 years ago. You did everything so painstakingly. We do bless God for the life of such a son of God and we also bless Him for your life, in whose company she was able to become the woman she was! Her legacy will endure forever and her work in the “Nuggets for the Needy” will always speak! God bless you.

Our Dearly Beloved Bro. Cec,

Greetings of love to you in the Lord's most faithful Name. It was with a great shock that we received the news about the home calling of our dear mother and sister Mavis. We were actually in church this afternoon about early morning over there when sister Anita called to break the news.
We had sent you a mail last night to encourage you over her health situation and the surgeries, only to now hear this. We are really very sorry and do really share the grief of this hour. We know that God must have deemed it the best for her and those of us still alive. There is no doubt she has overcome, now it is time to rest in the bosom of the Father.
We are all aware of all she had gone through for sometime now, and for you who had stood with her in the battle. We thank God for His mercies and for the life Mavis lived. She poured out her life to us all in the body. Her unshaking voice even in the midst of a failing flesh had always encouraged us all. We shall greatly miss her, but we bless God for everything.
Be encouraged brother. What shall we say to you, than to lift you up to the father for the comfort of the Spirit. Be comforted and strengthened by the Lord in this time.
