My Dearest Brother Ces,
I must say that as I received the news of Mavis' passage I was quickly turned to thinking of all the past encounters I had been able to have with my dear sister. In the midst of our relationship she always made me to feel as if I were a great friend and even further as a son. I will cherish these memories forever. Her desire to always bring forth the word of the Lord was absolutely evident in her life. I cannot remember many conversations with her where she did not at some point in time bring in scriptures and glory to her King. What a testimony this dear one bore in the earth. I count it a special privilege and highlight of my life that I was given many opportunities to drive both of you from place to place and to be in the presence of you both. I will always remember the way in which our dear sister revered her relationship with you and certainly made it clear that she would not want to be any other place than by your side.
I know that her last days were difficult but in the midst of the trials I am certain that she counted it a privilege to share in the sufferings of Christ. I know that she bore pain in quite victory always considering how Christ was working his righteousness into her soul. I thank God that I and my family have been blessed by our fellowship with our dear sister. We have the expectation that she is now in the cloud of witnesses cheering us on to victory. We will certainly cherish that thought even as we cherish the memories of all that we were able to share with her.
Pavlina carries the knowledge of the loss of a very dear friend as well as a great mother of the church. She and I both send a big hug to you and look forward to the day when we can once again kiss your neck. God bless you, we cherish your fellowship and are grateful that we can remember such a saint of God.
Should you need any assistance with anything please do not hesitate to contact us.
Grace and Peace,
Paul, Pavlina and Christopher Davis
P.S. Please pass along our condolences to Carl as well as his brothers.
